Apply to NCAS
**A nursing credential is required to be eligible for the IEN Pathway.**
Please note: If you are already a Registered Nurse in a different province, you need to contact BCCNM directly. Please do not apply to the Pathway.
If you are applying for a licence in British Columbia, follow the steps below. Many of these steps can be done at the same time.
*In BC, the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) makes registration decisions about those applying to be licensed practical nurses, and those applying to be registered nurses.
*BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry makes registration decisions about those applying to be health care aides.
Apply to NCAS:
- To sign up with NCAS, create an online service account. When you select Create Account, a message will pop up confirming that you've successfully created your account. You'll also automatically receive a unique NCAS ID number.
- Download and complete theNCAS Application Form. Finish ALL the fields on the form to complete your application.
- Upload the NCAS application form to your online services account.
- After you upload your NCAS application, complete the checklist checklist steps. Many of these steps can be done at the same time.

If you are applying for a licence in the Maritimes, visit Maritime Canada (ncasbc.ca).
