How do I create my NCAS Online Services Account?

  • Visit https://public.ncasbc.ca/Account/CreateRegistrant and complete the online form. Once you have entered your information into the required fields, click "Create Account" at the bottom of the page.
  • A message will pop up and confirm that your account has been successfully created. You will receive your permanent NCAS ID #. Keep that number handy as you will be asked to provide it throughout your journey through NCAS.
How do I apply to NCAS?

Do I need to be referred by a regulator to apply?

  • If you are applying to work in BC, you do not need to be referred by a regulator to apply with NCAS.
  • If you are applying to work in another province, you will need to reach out to regulators in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Saskatchewan (RPN only) for their current process.

Am I eligible for bursaries?

  • If you want to practice in BC, you might be eligible to have your NCAS fees waived through the Government of BC's bursary program at Health Match BC. You might also be able to have other costs reimbursed if you are eligible and if you sign a 'return of service' agreement. Find out more at www.nursingjobs.ca.
  • If the government finds you eligible, they will let NCAS know that we can waive your fees. If you do not meet the criteria to have your fees waived, you can still go ahead with the full NCAS application process, but you will have to pay for the competency assessment if we refer you for that step.
  • Please visit the BC bursary program's financial support page for a list of fees that could be waived and/or reimbursed.
